The mailman from "Cheers" hates Obama. What's up with that?
One fears that Obama's the antichrist. Another calls him a socialist. Meet the GOP's army of washed-up celebrities

Maybe you missed the news this week that Victoria Jackson will be one of the headline guests at the Tea Party Express kickoff event in Nevada this month.

Victoria who?

You know ... the young blonde who would stand on her head and recite poetry on "The Tonight Show." Back in 1984. And who was a bit player on "Saturday Night Live" ... in the late '80s. OK, so she hasn't been that visible since -- I don't know -- a one-episode guest-starring stint on "Diagnosis Murder" in 1994.

But that was before she discovered political activism! Today, the 50-year-old Jackson is an outspoken opponent of President Obama and his socialist/Marxist/terroristic agenda. As she put it back in 2008, "Obama bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ and I'm scared to death that un- educated people will ignorantly vote him into office."

Lucky for America we have a washed-up celebrity like Victoria protecting us from the socialist menace. And she's not alone. Come along with Salon as we look at some of the other once-prominent celebrities who have found new life as fire-breathing right-wingers in this slide show.

1. Is Dennis Miller invited? He's an unfunny, hasbeen, hater.

2. I kinda, sorta, understand them.
They desperately need money. But they should have chosen a less harmful activity. Maybe bank robbing.

4. Norris, in particular, really thought he'd found a seat on the gravy train.

5. Conservatives don't want liberal entertainers voicing their political opinion
They say they should just shut up about their own political opinion and stick to entertaining. But they just love their own conservative celebrities like Chuck Norris and Stephen Baldwin.
