Just Wondering.........If Howard Dean Ran For President In 2016.......
..........would you vote for him?

I know he's said that he has no interest in running for President, and that he thinks that should be left up to the younger, "new blood" of the Party. However, the ideas that caused me to fall (heterosexually) in love with him in 2003, I'm starting to hear more and more often now. Which is starting to make me think about what it would be like if he were to actually become President.

Some might say he'd be too old, but he was born in November of 1948, so he'd only be 67. Granted, that's no spring chicken, but there have been older, more dottering people who have run for President. 67 is by no means "too old." And his ideas are just as fresh now as when I "discovered" him 7 years ago.

The Deaniac in me would love to see it happen, and I know that I, for one, would work tirelessly to see him elected if he decided to run again in 2016. However, all I'm hearing are denials and naysaying. So I ask YOU........what do YOU think? If we created a groundswell of support and convinced him to run again, would YOU vote for him and/or do whatever was in your power to see him elected? At this point (and granted, we're talking 6 years down the road here), I'd have to say that I would. Every time I see him appear on a TV show for commentary, I fall in love with the man (heterosexually, of course) all over again. I'd venture to say that he's probably my biggest political influence right now.

2. Same here, but he'd still have a balky Congress to contend with
so my bar for his accomplishments would be set almost as low as my bar for Obama has been.

3. In a heartbeat!
I still think Dean is the man. His ideas truly speak to me on so many levels. Some may think they are too idealistic, but I don't. I think they are totally achievable with a little hard work.

12. +1,000,000
ALWAYS supported Howard Dean above all others, especially in 2004. I'm more convinced than ever that I was correct the first time, to this very day.

5. While I, too, love him (not really heterosexually but intellectually), I would hate
to see him co-opted by a political system completely out of whack, like Obama has been.

I'd like to think it wouldn't happen but I fear it...unless, of course, the repukes just fall apart from being too deeply corrupt and on the fringe politically.

18. While There's No Guarantee That Dean Wouldn't Change As President, Obama Definitely Hasn't.
He's the same man now that he was before he became President. He just played his cards closer to his corporate vest before.

7. Hell yeah!
This country would be so much better off right now, if he had taken the oath of office on January 20, 2005.

Not sure I can believe in any politician for a while after being punked in the last election. Ask again in a couple years.

10. Dean 2012
Obama has alienated far too many Democratic voters to be re-elected. Dean would be much more electable.

17. I'd Be Perfectly Happy To Kick Out Obama And Install Dean NOW.
He's not perfect, but he'd be a distinct improvement on Obama.
