Just listened to a right wing moron saying ALL unemployment benefits should be cut off ASAP
Are these people capable of basic logical thought?

So I just got done listening to a right winger say that all unemployment benefits for EVERYONE should be ended ASAP.

Reason? Apparently they cause people not to look for jobs, and if it wasn't for unemployment benefits everyone would have found jobs by now.

Now get this..... Just PRIOR to making this argument he goes on a huge rant that can be summarized as "The economy is totally screwed and there are not enough jobs available".

Ok.... so WTF?

Do these people even THINK before they make such stupid ass demands?

So according to this guy unemployment compensation is bad and should be ended ASAP so everyone will get a job..... but according to this same guy there are not jobs available for everyone who has lost a job.

So what does this tell you the right wing agenda REALLY is?

Basically that they want to screw over people who are struggling, and then turn around and blame them for it on top of that.

I hope that the general public can make this connection in the November elections this year.

1. It's a pity you aren't that winger's employer. I'd think that saying,
"How interesting. By the way, I'm afraid we're laying you off, effective tomorrow." would clear his mind quite well.

4. The crazies are out in force
CNBC this afternoon had a segment (on Power Lunch) debating whether we should continue having a minimum wage.

:silly:

5. If we closed all the hospitals,
and fired all the Doctors, then no one would ever get sick again. At least, in wingnut world.

8. "Poor people are just LAZY!!"
Wingnuts. It's what's for breakfast.

AllentownJake pointed out on an earlier thread a response to those Reeps who think "a job's a job's a job and any ol' minimum wage job is better than unemployment" that there isn't exactly a giant pool of those kinds of jobs to go to. Lower income unemployment is at 30%, meaning out of all income groups, they're getting hit the hardest.

10. They refuse to believe in the concept of unemployment
They are insecure. They want desperately to believe that if they lose their job, there is another job out there, and if not, they can create a new job = they can just go into business for themselves!

Having never been self employed, they cannot know how hard that is.
