Gallup: More Trust President Than Republican Leaders On Health Reform
from Daily Kos: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2010/3/6/843516/-Gallup:-Obama-Retains-More-Trust-Than-Republican-Leaders-On-Health-Reform

This Gallup poll released yesterday notes:

Americans remain more confident in the healthcare reform recommendations of President Obama (49%) than in the recommendations of the Democratic (37%) or Republican (32%) leaders in Congress. But these confidence levels are lower than those measured in June, suggesting that the ongoing healthcare reform debate has taken a toll on the credibility of the politicians involved.

4. I cannot possibly imagine why. Given everything we've seen, why? It's abundantly clear

that neither party is interested in fixing this problem. Too many people here sill cling to the demonstrably absurd notion that the Democratic Party (and I use that term in the collective sense, a few remaining uncorrupted Democratic lawmakers notwithstanding) is in it to help them. Too many lawmakers in both parties have a vested interest in everything remaining exactly as it is. Wise the hell up.

6. The poll is a monument to the idiocy of Americans
It is actually quite amazing to watch the framing used by mass media and especially the folks Gallup. The fact is that what is being talked about as an Obama/Dem bill is actually a health insurance industry dream bill. The only things left for the insurance industry to put on this shit sundae is the cherry of "tort reform" and a sprinkle of "selling across state lines" nuts. Eat up America!
