Watching Romney on CSPAN right now
Jeezus, this man is such a tool.

He should never ever come within five feet of the White House.

1. I'll see your five feet and raise you several hundred miles.
He's bad news, that one.

2. His daddy used to be Governor of Michigan
And he was one hated fucker too.

He sent in the National Guard to kill black people on the streets of Detroit and then he left office early to work for Tricky Dick.

As Sunday July 23rd dawns, the growing crowd is looting and burning the city. Twelve hours into the frenzy, Governor George Romney calls in the Michigan National Guard; unprepared troops make mistakes like shooting out the street lights. Nearly 4000 people will be arrested in the first two days, and over 7000 by the third. Most are young and black. Police and guardsmen shoot at will, with some later insisting that all of their victims were armed.

The name "Romney" will forever be a curse here.

4. Yep. I recall ol' George. He looked halfway sane next to Nixon in the
primary but kept stumbling and garbling what he wanted to say. Nixon's men had little difficulty in the long run wrapping Romney up and tossing him out like yesterday's fish.

Willard is no better and arguably worse. He's got a mountain of cash and no principled character. Bad combo.

5. Which is why he has a good chance at getting the nomination in 2012.
That is if the gop wants to throw away a good portion of the conservative fundie bloc who'd never vote for a Mormon.
