No Oscars for Cablevision Subscribers tonight
Cablevision says that ABC wants an additional 40 million dollars in additional over 200 million they are already receiving to allow cablevision to show ABC television programs. If cablevision is paying ABC over 200 million are they charging their subscribers over 300 million so they can make a profit and pay ABC?

I might watch that bunch of fucking idiots patting each other on the back.

8. So you would rather there be no Oscars at all?
A movie is made people may or may not go to see it and that is the end of it, in your opinion?

I'm making it an HBO and Showtime night for myself as my usual Sunday shows have been pre-empted. I'm sure all the highlights will appear right here on the internet and YouTube and other websites. I think your cable provider isn't being honest though as I get two ABC channels that are showing it and I don't even want to watch.

According to ABC, Cablevision has been charging me for upteen years for broadcast ABC and ABC hasn't seen a red cent of that.

Link to possible online streaming of the Oscars.

14. You could just get a digital antenna and use that
They are not too expensive and depending on where you live you should get decent reception.

17. Antenna in Attic + TIVO + 1TB hard drive + lifetime subscription.
I get perfect HD picture. Have the ability to record 150+ hours of HD.
Plus Tivo works with netflix streaming, youtube, etc.

To date I have saved $2500+. Next month it will be another $65.

No need to compromise. Drop cable still keep HDTV.
Save money, go on vacation, have fun.
