states that ban same sex marriage are killing their economy instead of enhancing it |

this is a no brainer for the greed corps - weddings, halls, flowers, bands, dresses, tuxs, etc - I am surprised they have not seen the money side of this since that seems to drive the right.

"There's something deeply wrong with putting the rights of a minority up to a majority vote," said Evan Wolfson, a gay-rights lawyer who heads a group called Freedom to Marry. "If this were being done to almost any other minority, people would see how un-American this is."
Hear, hear! It should be illegal or unconstitutional or something to remove basic human rights by popular vote. If it was up to popular vote, blacks would still be sitting at the back of the bus, women wouldn't be allowed into law or medical school, and other equality laws wouldn't have been passed.
BTW, I've never understood the big objection to gay marriage. The term "gay lifestyle" tends to be associated with promiscuity. So if some gays are in a committed enough relationship that they want to get married, don't freaking complain!

That's okay, my partner and I avoid those states for vacation etc. They won't get a dime of my hard earned money.
