I watched a documentary on her life a few years ago and right during one of the interview segments she paused to complain about how the filmmakers were composing the shot of her. She insisted they film it her way instead, and she was right, it was a huge improvement.
She also deserves credit for her remarkable edit of The Blue Light. She had to redo it entirely by hand in a marathon editing session after the original editor turned in a poor cut. Clearly the woman was a control freak with a gift that she was unfortunately willing to allow the Nazis to exploit.
