1. If there isn't significant movement in 1-2 years, say hello to President Palin. |
|
Well, probably not the Grifter itself, but a reasonable facsimile.
Bill Clinton pulled off a recovery. Will Obama be able to?
The Republicans are doing everything they can to prevent recovery.

2. Different economic crisis |
|
Clinton had an inventory cycle recession, usually happen about once every 5 years.
Barack has a deflationary debt depression about a once in every 50 year event.
Different problems, different actions required to pull it out, different time lines.

Unless we reverse the last 30 years of bullshit policies and get back to what actually worked for this country.

5. This county needs to reboot its industrial base. |
|
We've off-shored so many jobs and lost so much capital, that we're importing everything instead of exporting like we once were... if the dollar ends up crashing in value, despite things costing more for us, it could be the very thing this country needs to entice back domestic manufacturing of so many goods that we consume and take for granted each day. Kind of a silver lining amongst the dark economic clouds of the near future, as it were...

8. World crude oil production is now in decline. For that reason alone, |
|
economic recovery will be limited and each time the economy tries to recover, it will bump up against the limit of oil producers to keep up with demand. As oil production decline accelerates, so will the economy contract.
