Scrap the corporate whealth reform bill ... what about this:
A) Increase taxes on everyone, but especially the rich.
B) Open Medicare to everyone 21 and under, or 55 and older. I bet this would be easier to pass than the horse shit they are working on.
You wouldn't be creating a new program, just expanding an existing program.

Imagine having the Republicans arguing against health care for children. It would be fun.

1. Why not just open it up for anyone who wants to purchase it?
People can keep their private insurance if they want..or they can buy into Medicare at a cost based on a percentage of their income. Medicare would also need to increase rates paid to doctors and hospitals.

Yeah....it's a pipe dream..I know.

4. Why is it ironic?
There's not an ounce in irony to be found here.

3. And let me buy into Medicare, instead of private insurance, if I want to
I'd rather pay the govt. than those profiteering clowns at Blue Cross again.
