1. I have no idea what Survival Seeds are (can't watch the vid at work)
but whatever they are they either piss Monsanto off, or Monsanto already owns the patent.

4. Mostly, they're a scam
http://seedbankscam.com/index.html

They're pretty much just seeds.

http://seedbankscam.com/seed-bank-comparisons.html

They're advertised as super-seeds with incredibly high germination rates and production rates and most are non-GMO (which is to say - in this case - that they are mostly grown by whacko survivalists). Most seeds you'd buy in a nursery or the garden center of Home Depot have anywhere from a 50-85% germination rate if planted properly and you usually get a shitstorm of seeds for about 2 bucks (the seeds I started my garden with this year ranged from 1.59 to 1.79 per packet...and 2.50 for some very specialized tomato seeds).

For example, one of the companies sells you 35,000 seeds for 120 bucks but it's really not much of a bargain depending on WHAT seeds they are. For example, most herb seeds are teeny, tiny and come several hundred per 1.69 packet. Thyme and catnip, two things I planted this year, might contain over 1000 seeds per gram. I'm not about to try and count them to find out.
