I have been watching your average local and CNN coverage about this whole thing and something has me confused...
Why is he quitting again? I mean, why would he have to quit his job because he made a pretty bland joke at a wedding reception and ruffled some guys hair and then judiciously left? If that is all he did and he hates the Dem leadership as much as it sounds like, why isn't he staying and fighting them like a rabid dog?? Why quit and THEN fight them like a rabid dog? It just doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me. Congressman get investigated by the Ethics Committee for a lot worse than that and manage to get through it with their jobs.

seems like he is lashing out at the Dems because he is backed into a corner and that's all he has left to do. The fact that he is a bit "daft" also helps. Sorry about his supposed 'cancer' but that shouldn't excuse his behavior through this incident.

and now I don't know what to think.
What would make him go over the deep end? To go on the Glen Beck Show has me puzzled because Beck is everything Massa despises - or so I thought.
:shrug:
I think of my dad who began to act strangely, totally out of character. His behavior made so little sense to all of us - family, friends and co-workers. He had a brain tumor. He was only 51 when he died.
