Dems Failed To Force Repubs To Vote On The Record Showing Their Hypocrisy... |
|
It is one thing to announce 'we just don't have the votes' to tax the huge bonuses that Wall Street Firms gave their employees AFTER they took Taxpayer Bailout Money, and another thing entirely to let Repubs skulk off to celebrate with their Wall Street Lobbyists without even having to vote on the record.
As a smart politician once said, sometimes when you vote you lose, and sometimes when you vote and lose you actually win by making the hypocritical lying _______s go on the record voting against the public's interests.
I am not naive enough to believe there are no Democrats who might be caught in this trap of defending the Wall Street Bonus Babies --but almost the entire Republican membership would be forced to occupy the opposite side of the ledger from the public interests.
And that would be good for 2010 and 2012.

How does it go again, " we have to give bonuses to keep the best people".
And yet the asshats that screwed things up, are the same ones who are "the best".
That's like giving a medal to someone who drops a bomb on their allies, and claiming that it's the only way to keep the best pilots!
