How many of you have bad debt
or are overwhelmed with credit card debt, and are trying to fix it yourselves?

2. why, can you clear up this debt for pennies on the dollar?
Your OP sounded like those horrible ads from collection companies posing as salvation for many.

Oh, I've got debt coming outta my ass, but I have switched to a cash based economy and dont deal with credit anymore

7. Yeah baby, hit and run, then industrial poisining. I got bad debt.
and now, by the time I get SS dis, they will attach my checks to nothing, to pay the tax on all this unemployment to tide me over. The road ahead is surely debtors prison.

11. It took me several years to pay off $24,000 in credit card debt in a half-amount settlement.
After being in that debt for over a year, I negotiated and they settled for half that amount.

I paid $500 monthly for 24 months. That was about 5 years ago I finished paying it off.

It will still be a few years before my credit rating improves greatly, as even that settlement and my regular payments are still somewhat of a black mark against me.
