What if this Phobia that Dems who support HCR with a Public Option are Doomed is simply a Lie? |
|
I admit I could be DEAD WRONG, but I am thinking about intelligent Dems like Blanche Lincoln, Bill Nelson, Jay Rockefeller, Max Baucus, Maria Cantwell, Kent Conrad and too many others to mention.
First of all, most of them have the courage of their convictions to vote for HCR with a Public Option.
But my point is, Why in the living hell should they accept as gospel or Holy Writ that their incumbency is threatened if they vote for Health Care Reform?
There is no evidence whatsoever to ratify the claim by the other side that "most Americans" are against Health Care Reform.
Not only that, but if this were true, why on earth would the Republicans be warning us not to vote for this because we might LOSE SEATS?
It makes no sense.
This is the simple fact: Lobbyists for the Health Insurance Industry are buying off Repukes to do anything possible to sabotage Health Care Reform in any form whatsoever. They are making millions off of this to obstruct, block, destroy health care for Americans.
Unless we push this through now, there is no hope we will ever have the same quality of Health Care as the public servants whose salaries we pay.
Sorry for going on, but in my life time there has never, ever been a more important issue to me.
If we lose this, I am giving up on politics.

People like Lincoln are in danger because they will not do what their constituents want, and support a public option....

3. Your Meaning Is Un-Clear, Sir |
|
During the summer and autumn, polling results indicated that, among Democrats in North Dakota, 'public option' measures were more popular than opposition to them. If Mr. Conrad were up this year, rather than in two years, during a Presidential campaign, he would probably be looking at retirement over this, just as Lincoln is now.
