2. True, unless you can reinvent yourself, learn new skills or go to wear the good jobs are..
There are tons of decent jobs in this country but its surely not easy to find them and/or compete to get them. The harsh reality is that it's serious economic Darwinism now... more than ever in our lifetime.

3. Whatever the machine wants, the machine gets
If it needs a scientist or whatever other professions they have there, you'll be that. If it needs a carpet cleaner and a pizza guy, you'll be that. And you apparently have very little choice in the matter. They're all still on that conveyor belt. Happy or sad, they're there. Products more than people. Waiting to be used. Then thrown away, or at best, molded into whatever else the machine needs. Recycling, keep it green, all that stuff.

7. Get over it
NAFTA is going to stay with us and the jobs that left will not be coming back..Americans are supposed to be creative. New jobs will be invented when the need becomes absolute.

8. Most prosperous countries in the world have planned economies. What's wrong with that

They protect their people and all work together. But no, that does not fit in in the "Survival of the "fittest"" ideologs in the US. You will learn eventually, when we either grow out of this or it gets so bad your are forced to admit it, that you are wrong. There is nothing enlightened about your "regurgitated" view, and in fact it is quite selfish. I would be ashamed to speak it openly.
