Why isn't Kucinich asking for immediate withdraw from Iraq? |
|
I find it curious that he wouldn't take this to the obvious next step and add Iraq (which rightly, should be first on the list).
Obviously, this isn't an oversight, so it was intentional to not include Iraq on the list. I know President Obama is in the process of withdrawing troops from Iraq, but Kucinich put a 30 day requirement on Afghanistan withdraw, he could have easily included Iraq.

1. We have a withdrawal date for Iraq. |
|
And, it is on schedule, so far.
W need a withdrawal date for Afghanistan. That is the point of the bill, to encourage a withdrawal date.

3. But many people here don't believe that. Are you saying Kucinich is good with the Iraq plan? |

5. I don't know how Kucinich feels about the Iraq plan. |
|
But, this bill is to get a withdrawal date for the Afghanistan War. It should get more of a focus. Iraq has an exit schedule.
More soldiers are dying in Afghanistan, at an increasing rate. Afghanistan is escalating, which is why a withdrawal date is so badly needed.

9. You mean more than the corrupt Bush leftovers running the war? |

The ones that have winked at civilian killings, prisoner torture, illegal weapon sales, the electrocution of our troops, and the poisoning of Falljah? Those guys on the ground?

Not to mention a deeply troubling obsession with Dennis Kucinich. Kind of interesting you don't heap scorn on Bart Stupak and his misogynist ways in the House.

It's the topic du jour. If you don't like it, perhaps you should take a break from DU.
