"Jihad Jane" - something about this whole story smells fishy... |
|
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100310/ap_on_re_us/us_american_terror_plot;_ylt=AgwqN.D0ysrGEf9rTxFvR.5bbBAF;_ylu=X3oDMTNjODkwYW5hBGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMTAwMzEwL3VzX2FtZXJpY2FuX3RlcnJvcl9wbG90BGNjb2RlA21vc3Rwb3B1bGFyBGNwb3MDNARwb3MDNARzZWMDeW5fdG9wX3N0b3JpZXMEc2xrA3RoZWJsb25kYmx1ZQ--Specifically, Her boyfriend of five years said LaRose had never hinted at Muslim leanings or attended religious services of any kind. Kurt Gorman, 47, of Pennsburg, said that he met LaRose in Texas and that nothing seemed amiss until she moved out of their apartment without warning in August. Now this, in light of her plans to martyr herself and kill the Swedish cartoonist - they just don't seem like the acts someone would do, if they gave no signs of being even remotely involved in Islam. Then again, that's just what she would want us to think...

2. She could have severe mental illness like schizophrrenia, and just glommed onto |

Islamic jihad as her particular psychotic obsession. In my mom's case it was UFO's and military doctors and cops, and they were trying to kill her, and dentists were in the mix, too. She obsessed over them for decades, and yes, she was completely certifiable (and certified), and unmedicated.

But wouldn't her boyfriend have caught her mumbling about Islam?

14. Not necessarily. Paranoid schizophrenics, especially the bright ones, |
|
can be very good at hiding their disease from the unsuspecting. Ask me the sad, decades-long story of how I know this personally.......

15. The sudden disappearance and utterly clueless BF are big hints. |
|
When my mom disappeared in 1984 for nearly 2 years, we were also baffled, for a time.

But hard to believe she was trying to join some secret bad group while running around with a name that fits drumbeat marketing pretty well, on the day that Kucinich is pushing for Afgan war end, and that is not covered on news.
I am thinking Crockpot, not Crackpot.

13. Online Kee-Raay-Zee is what she is. |
|
There are so many poseurs online who pretend to be what they're not to make themselves feel involved in the world and a 'player.'
The online Islamists are sometimes quiet sociopaths who don't pray, don't attend mosques and have no genuine faith. My close bud (an MD) is sufi muslim and says he's encountered these militant American or UK women online at Muslim sites. He said they don't know the faith, some don't know Arabic, but they're weird antinomianists (sp?) who hate their own lives and they can be dangerous.
