The DC madam is planning to use her clients as witnesses in her defense
Edited on Mon Apr-30-07 11:36 AM by George Oilwellian
Oh, this could be good. :D

Speaking outside after a court hearing this morning, the D.C. Madam, Jeane Palfrey, says she expects ABC News to track down more clients of her firm, who she says will serve as "potential witnesses for my defense."

1. I hope she stays away from aircraft
and doesn't drive anyplace. I hope she's careful about all transportation, uses friends to shuttle her around. I hope she's got ten locks on her door and a few big, burly bodyguards.

I hope this all happens. I really don't care if she names a few Democrats. I just want her to spill the beans on the White House clients.

2. Tobias already claimed he didn't have sex
So if he didn't have sex, it can't be prostitution, right? I think it's an ingenious plan by her lawyer.

18. There are a whole host of possible definitions for "have sex."
The reason President Clinton HONESTLY stated that he "did not have sex with that woman," was because the inept lawyer questioning him in his sworn deposition (would that have been Ken Starr?) failed to state, on the record, what that lawyer's definition of "having sex" was. A competent lawyer would have gone through a whole list of any possible physical contacts. Many married men claim to have always been faithful despite having paid various prostitutes for oral sex, because in these men's "minds", having sex ONLY refers to actual intercourse.

In the case of the Bush USAID honcho, this guy claims he was only getting a "massage".
Surely everyone has enough imagination to picture the kinds of massage which could result in, shall we call it, "sexual release".

In fact, I just read a new novel "This Book Will Save Your Life", which Stephen King compared to "Catch 22", and which the San Francisco Chronicle describes as "in the style of Kurt Vonnegut" which describes a rather startling version of that. (Author is A. M. Homes.)

Speaking as a lawyer, the "Madam" may be able to avoid prostitution charges by labeling such services as massage therapy - but getting the description out in open court will label all of her clients as men who basically paid generously for sexual release.

"Bush administration economist, the head of a conservative think tank, a prominent CEO, several lobbyists and a handful of military officials."

She's appears to have a firm grip on some very politically connected witnesses.

11. We can hope!
I'd dearly love to hear him saying, "these encounters did not consist of sexual intercourse." That would be too sweet. :D

Their recollection will be that it was nothing of a sexual nature.

Or even better yet, it was only therapeutic in nature and intended to relive a groin strain.

10. Monica Goodling is a proud client
Fred Garvin: May I come in?

Ms Goodling: What for?

Fred Garvin: Well, ma'am, you see, when an attorney like yourself comes to DC to do business, it's customary for the company to send a gal up to the room, compliments of Great Lakes Feed & Grain. And, well.. since you're a gal, the company sent me - Fred Garvin, Male Prostitute.

I'm interested in seeing what the viewership of her 20/20 appearance will be, it would appear that they're going to sell this for all the ratings they can squeeze out of it.

19. She's charged w/ racketeeering except that can't be because she's the only one charged
and you need two or more to racketeer. She says this is not a legal course of action against her.

She called on the media to investigatge the case for her since she can't afford defense.

She wants any one who did break the law and/or her contract (w/ the client and the "subcontractors" as she called the ladies) charged and put on trial.

This lady is playing hardball.
