Sex-offender (charter school) teacher guilty of three (indecent) assaults (one on 8 year old)

WORCESTER — A former Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School teacher sentenced to jail last month for sexually assaulting a female student was convicted yesterday of assault and battery on three other former students.

Kyle Soule, 33, of 76 Myrtle Ave., Webster, was found guilty Feb. 12, after a jury trial in Central District Court, of indecent assault and battery on a child. Mr. Soule was convicted of indecently assaulting an 8-year-old student in a classroom on Sept. 13, 2002...

Under an agreement between his lawyer, Peter L. Ettenberg, and Assistant District Attorney Maura K. McCarthy, Mr. Soule pleaded guilty in one case and admitted to sufficient facts for guilty findings in two cases yesterday on reduced charges of assault and battery. Judge Despotopulos found Mr. Soule guilty of three counts of assault and battery and sentenced him to six months in the House of Correction on each.

The sentences are to be served concurrently with one another and with the sentence imposed last month.

Mr. Soule taught at the Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School from 1999 through 2003 and was working as an instructional assistant at the Seven Hills Charter School when he was charged last year. The school placed him on administrative leave when the charges were lodged and banned him from school property.
