Rush Limbaugh Makes Racist Quip About Paterson

Rush Limbaugh is drawing ire for a racist (and factually inaccurate) comment he made about Gov. David Paterson on the heels of the resignation of New York Congressman Eric Massa.

Yesterday, he said David Paterson will be playing "massa" if he appoints Massa's replacement. The comment was a reference to slavemasters and Paterson is African-American.

"So, David Paterson will become the massa ... who gets to appoint whoever gets to take Massa's place," Limbaugh said, "So, for the first time in his life, Paterson's gonna be a massa. Interesting, interesting."

Except, Paterson does not have the power to appoint a replacement to Massa.
