The mind is an amazing thing.




Mr McHugh, 60, nearly died after two blood vessels burst in the back of his head.
But after a week in a coma, he awoke with an uncontrollable urge to create and began writing poetry, painting the interior of his home, sculpting and carving.

2. Usually, people just die. Something like 0.5% recover

to the point they can resume a useful life.

One I knew who recovered tested as a mathematical genius. Another one started speaking a language he hadn't heard since early childhood and which he hadn't even understood pre event.

The brain is a bizarre organ. The more you deal with it, the weirder it gets.
