Connie Saltonstall, challenger to Bart Stupak needs a moneybomb... (so please Reddit me!)
Normally, I wouldn't stoop to begging for help to stoke my ego by getting a post of mine front-paged on Reddit, but in this case, it's for a good cause.

It seems to be slipping under the radar of some folks, but Bart Stupak, Mr. C-Street "I-won't-vote-for-health-care-unless-it-bans-abortion!" has a primary opponent.

Her name's Connie Saltonstall, and she is challenging Bart Stupak, explicitly because of his stances on abortion and the health care bill. She needs a moneybomb.

1. Done.
Looks like the antis are downvoting you pretty quickly. Need to boost it up.

3. Only if she backs a public option.
Stupak is a pain but replacing someone with a made up reason for opposing Single payer or Public option with someone that may or may not support public option really isn't that big of a step in the right direction.

4. I'm not that trusting
Do you have any info on what her positions are? I don't give money to anyone but progressives.

5. Here's a little more info.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/3/9/844389/-Rachel-Maddow:-Who-really-paid-Bart-Stupaks-rent-%28UPDATE:-Stupak-gets-a-primary-challenger!%29

She's kind of a dark horse candidate, but she's pro-choice and pro-public-option. I think she's as pissed off as everyone here on DU at Stupak, but was in more of a position to directly do something about it.

I gave her ten bucks - she actually does sound like a decent person, and Stupak desperately needs to be primaried.

6. According to her campaign her position papers will be up soon
but I'd call her a progressive, especially for Michigan's first district.

However, I can certainly understand if you want to wait until you hear more details and they should be forthcoming very soon.
