Obama deputy campaign manager: A 'Real shot' Democrats will get 'slaughtered' in November
Edited on Thu Mar-11-10 04:25 PM by Bluebear
One of President Obama's top campaign advisers told CNN that Democrats should be worried about this year's midterm elections.

"I think that there is a real shot we are going to get slaughtered in elections this fall if we aren't leading the efforts to reform Washington," Steve Hildebrand said Wednesday. "We campaigned (on change) in '06 and '08, and if voters don't see that change, we haven't lived up to that promise."

Hildebrand was Obama's deputy national campaign director and one of the principal architects the candidate's field operation. After the election he went back to private consulting.

1. Then you might as well be hung for a sheep as a goat, as the saying goes
START GOVERNING LIKE YOU WERE ELECTED TO BE DEMOCRATS. This isn't rocket surgery, goddammit.

2. the party in power loses an average of 28 seats in the mid terms
What exactly constitutes this slaughter that the MSM keep playing over and over again? 40 seats? 50? 100?

4. No way...Republicans are trying to help us stay in power.
They have been warning us if we do what we campaigned on we will be swept out of office. Thank God those Republicans are looking out for our best interests, because of their early warnings we will not do anything to upset them and get re-elected in a landslide..

6. So DO SOMETHING!!
For Christ' sake, LISTEN to the American people. LISTEN to Democrats who put you into office. Start cracking down on the banksters and Wall Street. DO SOMETHING about the filthy rich - raise their goddamned taxes. GET OUT of Iraq and Afghanistan. And start rebuilding this country that the repukes have done their best to destroy.
