My blog won Best Overall Blog in South Florida - thank you DU!

You probably remember the post where I asked everybody to vote for my blog in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Best of Blogs awards competition.

Well, as some of you might have heard, I won Best Overall Blog in South Florida. That's quite an honor because there are some very good blogs down here.

And I wouldn't have been able to do it without DU's help. You guys gave me the push I needed and helped me maintain it throughout the contest, beating out two other blogs that had thousands more Twitter followers than I did, which helped them get votes.

So a big thank you to DU!

I would have posted this earlier but I was out of town, then trying to catch up after getting back in town.

But I wasn't going to forget to thank everybody who registered with the Sun-Sentinel to vote every day for several days. It is well-appreciated.
