HCR? who the hell are they polling? |
|
I spent over 8 hrs. yesterday with DH at the new Heart Institute of WVU Med Center.
Now, granted it is West Virginia and we are talkin' huge population of un/underinsured...but all the talk was about the new health care plan.
Folks were complaining about how long it is taking for the vote, no one and I mean no one said they are against it.
Where do they get these polling numbers anyway?
My guess, they only call bigtime GOP contributors.

1. I saw a CNN segment yesterday in which they noted a poll that showed the majority.... |
|
.... want the president and congress to press forward with health reform.
The hacks on CNN reported the results almost grudgingly.

3. If you're in a place where people are very needy |

when it comes to healthcare (like this heart center), you're going to find an audience that's slanted one way on the issue, if you go to a place where people seem content, you'll find another take on the issue.
What you did like going to a strange town, walking into a building that happens to be a church, and concluding that most of the people in that town are religious. If you had walked into the tavern on the other end of town, you'd conclude that most people are drinkers.

4. What I'm hearing is that people are "disappointed" with the bill because it isn't moving forward. |

5. Most people I know are at a pass it point... but more still realize we are gettig |

jipped.. When the issue first arose, most people who don't pay close attention assumed they were creating a "medicare for all" approach. People are tired of the ins co's. Even for routine stuff, it requires a ton of headaches that people like myself just put off.

6. I just watched Morning Joe and they were going on about |

how you can't amend a bill that doesn't exist? It seemed like an obvious attempt by Scabwhoreoh to confuse people. It's the bill the senate already passed that the house needs to pass. Then I hear this BS about the parliamentarian saying it can't be amended in reconciliation until after the President signs it. Is that how it worked when Bush got his tax cuts passed using reconciliation? It's maddening to hear this crap and see people that should be challenging it just sit there and let it go.
