Liz Cheney Announces New "Unpatriotic Seven": Alexander Hamilton "Irate"
Following her call to remove the "Al-Qaeda Seven," Liz Cheney has released a list of seven additional U.S. officials whose work on behalf of enemies of the state makes them unfit to serve their country:

John Adams defended British solders accused of perpetrating the Boston Massacre; he even had the gall to call it "one of the best pieces of service I ever rendered my country."

Alexander Hamilton represented Crown Loyalists following the Revolutionary War and advocated against expelling them from the United States.

Abraham Lincoln defended the accused murderer of Lincoln's former commanding officer in the Black Hawk War.

Henry Clay defended Aaron Burr, who was accused of trying to make war on Mexico.

Felix Frankfurter publicly argued for a retrial of alleged anarchist murderers Sacco and Vanzetti.

Robert Taft aided Nazi war criminals by criticizing the Nuremberg Trials.

Telford Taylor, chief prosecutor at Nuremberg Trials, turned soft and defended Communists during the 1950s.

Cheney's office declined to comment on reports that she is aggressively pursuing the abolition of the penny and the ten dollar bill.

1. Geez, the Cheneys really don't understand democracy do they?
My guess? A combination of poor upbringing and bad education.

2. Why does Liz Cheney hate America? And I'm not kidding
What is it about our Constitution, its enumerated rights and system of criminal justice that Liz Cheney hates? Why doesn't she trust mechanisms in place for centuries to be able to determine guilt? Are we to be reduced to a nation where one person's opinion is sufficient to deprive an accused person of life, liberty or property? The United States used to stand against dictatorial regimes like that, advocating for the rule of law.

3. She is our country's version of Kim Jong-il
She believes her daddy was the rightful leader/dictator of our country, both during the Bush administration and even before that.

Dicky daddy is on the way out soon due to his bad heart, and Liz wants to make certain she is the successor.

Liz Cheney is a lawyer - she totally understands the rule of law and our constitutional principles. And her position is that such things are for comforting the little people and letting them pretend they have control over their lives. Something to toss out as red meat, because little people really get worked up and send in those donations when you pretend that libruls are coming to take away your stuff or your livelihood or your guns or your rights or blah blah... I am no longer thinking she hates the constitution, just really believes it doesn't apply to people like her.

Liz believes that the way it really works is that when you are the daughter of the powerful dark daddy Dick Cheney, the running of our country is left to you as a legacy. Like it was for the lovely Kim Jong-il. The constitution can't be taken seriously by her or be meant to apply to her, because otherwise how would her dad's unofficial powers pass to her?

7. I reckon she does understand the principles
Which makes her pronouncements all the more odious. And why in the world doesn't an interviewer say, "You know Liz, you're a lawyer yourself. Surely you understand and appreciate the protections for individuals written into the Constitution. Aren't you just posturing and grandstanding for the Nitwit Brigade?"

But then that interviewer would immediately be deemed "unserious" and never get to be on teevee again.

5. I can think of an Unpatriotic Seven...
Seven people who currently, or have, use the Constitution as toilet paper: Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, George H.W. Bush, the Idiot Bastard Son, Ronald Reagan, Edwin Meese and John Ashcroft. There are certainly more, but any combination of names with Liz Cheney in it is fine by me.

6. Yeah, well TERRA
TERRA TERRA TERRA. The Cheney Doctrine: be afraid, be very afraid, all the time because TERRA is coming for you and your children, your town, your country. Fear is a powerful motivator, and the Cheney machine is fueled with high-octane fear. Liz and her father are pretty much both one trick ponies.

Without fear, TERRA especially, the Cheney political machine has no weapon for gaining and holding onto power. Any threat to the machine gaining and holding power, even if it means attacking those who do their jobs, defending the accused in a court of law, must be checked, checked fast, checked loudly, with dire consequences for disobedience to the machine.
