Link TV staff forced to work with no pay.
I don't know if you've watched LinkTV but it is (IMO) one of the most valuable sources of non-corporate information out there. They are viewer supported by direct contributions and have seen a decline of 30% in contributions since the economic downturn kicked everyone in the teeth.

Just wanted everyone to know it looks like they may not be around much longer.

If you've never watched their programming, I urge you to tune in. Right now the discussion is about for profit health care and how that is the root of the problem in our health care system.

If you are familiar with their programming and want to help them out the number is 866.485.8848.

2. I love them....
watched them when I had The Dish. This is such sad news. I'm just about ready to give up. Why fucking bother when you're up against The Business Roundtable and the likes of Murdoch?

3. I noticed there were fewer of the fine films I'd come to love
and more talking head shows. I knew budget problems were the reason.

I've been chipping in when I could, but earthquake relief has taken it the past few months.
