File this tidbit of info in your 'weekly Friday layoffs' drawer... |
|
A friend of mine just told me about a huge (well known) corporation that fired a slew of employees by phone today. Nice...
Here's the creepy part... Immediately following each employee purge, the phone belonging to the just fired employee went into self-destruct mode... literally wiping out every bit of information, contacts, images, etc. on the personal phone of the now freshly fucked employee.
Can you imagine? Gawd. Talk about adding insult to injury. Heinous. I've never heard of such a thing! (Except in the movies.) YIKES.
Advice--->> Back up your phone info to a thumb drive.

1. I really don't believe that unless the phones belonged to the company |
|
and the directory was controlled by the company.
There's no way to do it otherwise.
Firing by phone is pretty low though.

4. Of course, if it was a cell phone company... |
|
All their employees use phones they are testing for the company carrying top secret company information.

3. Yup. Conference calls... |
|
... including HR and a couple of managers and/or supervisors.
As soon as HR hung up, the employee phone self-destructed. And no, the phones were not company owned. Possibly subsidized, but not owned. Ouch.

We nuke stolen phones regularly, the TSA can't keep their hands off them.

who the hell cares, we are talking real people here. If you have information that could possibly help or warn others...you need to step up to the plate or quit playing games.

... I stepped up to the plate and told you what I know. Corporations are evil. What more do you want to know?
Seriously, Caretha, are you talking to me?...

Can you handle it? Name the company, name the town. As I said, step up to the plate, or go ahead and admit you don't play. :0
