So, Rove is "proud" of waterboarding. I can't think of any other instance of such a blatant and
unqualified admission of criminality which did not result in the prosecution of the person making the admission.

I used to live in a "nation of laws".
I was even taught in public school that "no man is above the law".

But, then----

Nixon. Reagan. George W. Bush. Cheney. Rumsfeld. Yoo. Libby.

Where is that damned bipartisanship?

4. the law should read
the person advocating it has to undergo it . . .

I don't like to advocate violence, but in this case, I think an exception could be made. After all, Rove LIKES Waterboarding! Right?

7. Political Correctness
This BS sounds likes political correctness. Isn't there more
constructive things to focus on like: job creation through
private sector jobs, reducing the federal debt and reducing
the dependancy on government, the end to the federal
government being a pig trough, and term limits for our
Republican and Democratic Congress( an embarassing,
disfunctional abortion!!!)?

criminal gets his ass in a jam.

Sorry, but there's a strong whiff of elephant shit coming from your post!

12. throw in Cheney and Yoo (and others) also proud of making America torture people
All in the public record. All exactly the same as admitting to war crimes. All daring someone to go after them.

And... silence. And add Junior's silence which speaks volumes.

Which just isn't good enough and cannot stand.

Evil fucks.

16. What would he be prosecuted for?
He had no authority to give orders for the waterboarding to occur. His statement, while despicable, doesn't admit criminality.

19. Well, he was supposedly Bush's brain and no one really questtions that he was totally
involved in and responsible for nearly all that Dim Son did and said for eight years. If you believe there's nothing worth looking into there, I believe you are being naive.

There's also the issue of Rove claiming to know details about the effectiveness of "enhanced interrogation" when only those with top security clearances were supposed to have access to that info and Rove did not have that clearance.

If none of that works for you, he's from Texas where "the sonofabitch needed shootin'" is a time-honored defense to a homicide charge. This sonofabitch needs prosecutin'.

which certainly puts him well in the loop, if there were any doubt, in enacting policy.

That taken with international law holding policy makers responsible for national policies (and wars of aggression) which lead to crimes against humanity strikes me as plenty of room for international courts (if never our own) to pursue these on-the-record advocates of torture.

Really what is their game, Cheney, Yoo, Rove making these statements? Seems to me they are just daring some courts -- somewhere -- to go after them. And I don't really get the politics of it here either. They aren't going to paint a smiley face on torture or the Bush admin. Cui bono?

If someone gave him information that was above his clearance, then that person is at fault.
