What a crock, according to the Chamber, HCR will cause health care costs to rise, taxes to rise, and you should call your congressmen immediately to stop HCR from destroying the nation!

I hope businesses belonging to the Chamber who don't drink the koolaid will call the Chamber and complain about wasting your dues.

3. I have seen countless anti HCR ads the last several days
from the US Chamber of Commerce, The American Future Fund and The Committee to Rethink Reform. All of them telling us to call either WV Congressman Allan Mullahan or Ohio Congressman Charlie Wilson.

4. Well, we all know, according to some at least, the Chamber and Insurance...
are spending millions in advertising to fight the HCR bill because they love it but they don't want Americans to know they love it so they want Americans to call their Senators and Reps telling them to kill the bill they really, secretly, love! There are some DUers who actually believe what I just typed!

7. This HR bill is a croc!!!!
When the majority put the Democrats into office it was called
a mandate. Now the majority is just brainwashed.

Face it the majority would agree with the plan if they
believed in it. This HR bill is a croc!!!!!

9. The majority of Americans agree with the individual
principles included in the health-care bill but have been brainwashed the bill itself is bad.

11. The HCR bill is a croc
This bill is another legislative abortion. Starts with good
ideas and goes down from there. You are right that it includes
some good features, but the complete finished product is an
not what the American majority wants now. It's a simple as
that!

10. Yes, we're getting it in TX,
but I didn't know how wide spread it is. Disagreeing with the bill is one thing, but they should stop short of lying about the contents of the bill. I assumed that it was just TX being TX (Republican stronghold), but I found the commercial very offensive...particularly due to it's intentional misrepresentation, and the fear factor. I live in a spot where I know people who drive around in Secede-mobiles (What ARE they thinking?), & I'm pretty much at peace with the idea of letting them secede, giving them the panhandle, letting them put up a fence to keep out the Oklahomans, and having them govern themselves! I love my state and my small town, but I continue to be perplexed over the prevalent politics. Of course, I know many Democrats, but we're the minority in my area. Makes no sense to me.

13. I belong to the local Chamber
I saw this add this evening on MSNBC and will be calling Monday morning to see if any of the monies from my local membership go to the national chapter. If so I will cancel my 35 yr membership. As a small business person I am on the brink of throwing in the towel on the small business health plan we have because of horrendous rate increases and here is the National Chamber of Commerce running scare ads against health care reform. These fools are supposed to be representing me as a small business person. I am sick of this crap.

17. Amazing isn't it? I'm surprised you're still a member
Edited on Sat Mar-13-10 12:26 AM by HughMoran
My small company President would never be a member of that useless organization. Now that they are fighting against reform that would help us deal with $36,000/year family plan rates, it's almost like the Chamber has become an anti-small business organization. It's so counter-intuitive what they are doing. Of course, if you saw the hundreds of right-wing candidate promoting ads they run where I live, you'd never even consider being a member of this hate group.

18. I guess I never thought about it much before.
I belong to the local chamber because they do a bang-up job promoting the small retail establishments here. I am hoping none of my membership money goes to the national organization but if it does I am going to bow out and I will tell them why.

19. Good idea
I'd be freaking out if I thought I was contributing to a hate group like the Chamber that has shown the worst lies of any group - ALWAYS promoting a right-wing candidate.

Same music, additional lies about reconciliation and taxes. I'd really like to pound these people - I may just take them on at some point. They are vile.
