Who's paying for all the right wings ads on Facebook? |
|
As I look at my Home Page, for the last couple of weeks there has been some sort of right wing ad on the sidebar. Recently I've often seen a "Reagan for President" nostalgia t-shirt offered.
Subtle pining for the Good Old Days of Iran -Contra and union busting?
Be that as it may, today's ad is more to the point:
"Stop Reconciliation"
"The Democrats are trying to jam a bloated health care bill through Congress against the will of the American people. Sign the petition."
Even ignoring the twisted doublespeak of somehow claiming that the majority party is trying to "jam" through Congress legislation that actually is the will of the American people, who has been paying for this?
Who is using the largest Social Networking site to catapult their spin, and why isn't it being countered?

Same groups that payed for all the Scott Brown ads leading up to the election. The blitz worked. Or at least it seemed to. And they are going to keep running that play until the dems wise up.

2. I too noticed the ads and started removing them... |
|
a box pops up asking why you wanted to remove them, and instead of hitting the ever popular *other* choice, I hit "offensive". I did this perhaps four times to right-wing ads and in a few days ads leaning to the left started popping up, including a petition to help send Limbaugh to Costa Rica and a popularity poll for Keith O.
Give it a try and see what happens :)

7. I do the same thing, although sometimes I choose "misleading" as the reason. |
|
For the most part, if the right wing is speaking, the right wing is misleading.

4. I don't have any right wing friends. I don't get these ads at all. |

It is my understanding that you might be getting these ads because one of your Facebook "Friends" is directing these TO you.
