I don't necessarily believe they will fix it later.

I hope they will, but even if they never fix it the way I want it fixed, the changes proposed are far better than the status quo - and better than living for another 12 years (the approximate length of time since the last minor fix) or 25 years (since the last major fix) - particularly since what is propose provides far more access to health insurance than either of the last fixes made available, and imposes premium parity (which neither of the last two fixes even addressed).
