Would you support healthcare reform if...... |
|
...the republicans had won the election and came up with the same bill? I coulda made this a poll, but I had rather see responses. Me? Yeah, I suppose I would. I mean, what difference does it make who saves you money as long as the bill is worthy. But, I truly think the majority of republicans do not support the bill just because it is backed by democrats and will bolster their numbers come November. They have a record of voting against their own interests in the name of partisanship. So, how about it? Would you?

1. that's a great qjuestion |

I would certainly question the motives. The inclusion of a mandate would make more sense to me. I would certaily think that would be the prime driver - guaranteeing those profits.
But overall - I would support reform . . . I think.

now and if the Pubs had the exact same bill I would also be against it.
If Pubs EVER have legislation I would support I would, but that has yet to happen in my life time.

I'm not certain what part of health INSURANCE reform appeals to the bills' defenders.
The plural possessive is intended.

We can do better. The people deserve better. So no, I would not support this bill no matter who came up with it.

I don't understand how democrats came up with such a piece of crap.
It sure does open my eyes as to who are the servants to the people and who are servants to the true corporatist government that I finally realized runs this country.

...to the nightmare.
This 'piece of crap' is better than the whole big pile of crap the Dems waded through to get here. They are bucking the system and trying to serve the people against great opposition. Kudos to the Dems.

10. But the great opposition is the people because they are supporting unpopular measures like |
|
Mandates and taxes on expensive insurance and not supporting popular effective measures like the public option. They caved to opposition by the entities represented by lobbyists.

9. I would look to Democrats to approve the bill, but only with the addition of a P.O.! |
