Confident Axelrod challenges GOP: 'Make my day'
http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/86635-confident-axelrod-challenges-gop-make-my-day

One of the president's top advisers confidently predicted Sunday that Congress will pass healthcare reform and dared Republicans to advocate repealing it during the 2010 elections.

White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod said Democrats will have enough votes to pass healthcare by the time it comes to the House floor.

(snip)
And Axelrod, who was a top strategist on Obama's 2008 campaign, said he relished the prospect of Republicans campaigning on a repeal of the legislation in 2010.

Axelrod said that the GOP would have to explain why insurance comapnies should once again be able to discriminate against customers on the basis of pre-existing conditions, for example.

"Let's have that fight," he said. "Make my day."

2. To be countered with...
Why should people who are getting screwed by insurance companies are now under penalty of this new fascist "Insurance Profit Protection Act" law FORCED to line their pockets while still getting crappy coverage.

Get used to a Republican majority Axlerod, hope you will have enjoyed your "fight"

3. Bullshit.
The only way we lose the house is by not passing this bill. Dems will be labeled as unable to govern.

Sorry but you can't always get what you want.

4. Shall I pour you another glass?
There are only two things that are going to happen this Nov;

If the bill fails, the Dems will lose seats.

If the bill passes, the Dems will lose MORE seats.

As we know, the independents decide the vote. The independents dont like this bill. Couple that with
energized Repubs and demoralized Dems, Boehner will be measuring for drapes soon enough

5. Independents don't like the bill until they are told what's in it. Then they like it.
That's what most polling has shown lately,

At some point the wheels are going to fall off the Republican Bullshit Machine. They did in 2006 and 2008. They are due to fall off again in 2010.

7. Not what I heard
Forcing people to pay tribute to insurance companies is fascist AND unconstitutional.

If this is such a great bill and independents love it why havent the dems already voted for it overwhelmingly?

I saved your replies. Will look back at them November 5th or so. One of us will be eating crow.

6. Link???
I think you are 100% wrong... Once the campaign ads begin, I believe democrats are going to do quite nicely. What possibly can Republicans run on? They have nothing but NO..No..No..Americans usually like a more positive approach to things...Democrats were elected by wide margins to bring about Health Care Reform. They will have done that, plus turn an economy around that was the worst possibly in our history, created almost entirely by Republicans..Troops will be seen as leaving iraq, Democrats will get credit for that.. No only the wing nut pundits actually believe Republicans have any chance at all this Novemeber..I suspect Democrats may even increase their majority.
