Ex-CEO of failed New York bank arrested: reports
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The former chief executive of The Park Avenue Bank in New York, which was closed by regulators on Friday, was arrested Monday, according to media reports. Charles Antonucci Sr., who resigned last year, was taken into custody and charged with fraud on the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., making false statements on a TARP application, and making a counterfeit certificate of deposit among other charges, the reports said. Park Avenue Bank is the 28th bank failure of this year.

1. About time these criminals started to face some repercussions
Two things I just don't understand about American 'justice':

Why are people with serial DUI convictions not treated like the serious threat to the public that they are? Why can't we keep these irresponsible menaces to society off public roads?

Why are the authors and tools of the criminal enterprises that have crippled, if not killed, the US economy, damaging tens of millions of law abiding citizens by their actions, not fucking being held accountable?

Perhaps this instance is token, perhaps the beginning of a trend. I hope the latter is the case, but I shan't hold my breath.
