Republican doctor decides to run against Stupak
Dr. Dan Benishek says that Washington is distracting us with the health care issue at the expense of creating jobs.

"He spoke about the importance of creating jobs and being fiscally responsible both at home and across the country.

"The issue is jobs, the unemployment in our district is over 10 percent. It's unbelievable that the people in Washington are distracting us with all these other issues, number one the healthcare issue which is an important issue but not nearly as important as having a job," Dan Benishek, House of Representative Candidate."

1. what a bizarre district
The Republican guy want to create jobs and balance the budget, while the Democrat is opposed to health care reform because he's anti-abortion. So who would I vote for if I lived in that district, and wanted to choose the guy who was the least assholey?

2. Stupak did vote against NAFTA because he thought it would cost us jobs.

3. true. The Republican guy is undoubtedly a liar, too
By create jobs, he probably means give big tax breaks to corporations, and that somehow this magically creates jobs.
