You know---I'd go to a Democratic Underground 10th year anniversary gathering. |
|
DU was established on January 20, 2001 so next January will be 10 years.
How about it Earl, Skinner, Elad---any thoughts about getting us Rabble Rouser's together for the big anniversary?

and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is there. ;)

Only like we're still in high school judging by the shit getting posted in GD (and you seem to be an especially strong promoter of Lounge fodder in GD).

in your heart, you know i am right. afaik, we have the densest concentration of du'ers anywhere, except possibly dc. i have a big ass old house. 20 people could sleep on my floors. ok, i admit, it is cold in january. so, if someone from honolulu volunteers a big ole house, i might reconsider. but it is a non-stop flight from almost everywhere, or a cheap 3 stop southwest flight if that's how you roll. there are still trains here from all over, too. and trains here. i live a few blocks from the end of the city el system, so you can get anywhere for $2.50 from my house. and we have a kegerator. who could top all that?

No way, no how, not in January. Too freaking cold and with the weather like it is there, who wants to deal with delayed flights, sloshing through snow & slush.

:fistbump:
I would like to encourage also, some kind of nod from DU to it's faithful long-timers. I would proudly wear a ten year button on my posts.
aside: Also, will I be the last one willing to wear the "dreaded label" throughout my 700's? Or have we become so progressive here that there is no tradition anymore?
Do I sound like my Grandpa?
