2. The republicans are playing it pretty well too by protesting against and unanimously voting against |
|
any HCR which many here see as an "industry bill" to begin with. As multi-dimensional chess players they are either idiots (and don't know that idea of politics is to vote the interests of your constituents ) or incredibly smart always several moves ahead of Democrats and pretending to oppose a bill they secretly support while planning an even better bill when they get to "start over".

8. they do not care about the truth at all |
|
they care only about conflict and using whatever issue there is (this crew of democrat-like politicians have chosen health care) as a bludgeon.

10. I don't think the Republicans are really players in this. They are roadkill that is still twitching |
|
They can obstruct and scare the corrupt Dems a bit but when the Dems had a supermajority, it would have made a lot more sense to twist the arms of the handful of uber-corrupt blue dogs and DLCers, over which the President and the party have some leverage, instead of trying to persuade Republicans over which they have no leverage.

14. I like your illustration, but you assume that complaining isn't part of fixing. |
|
the president and congress REPRESENT us, so they should expect and take our input into consideration, especially when polls show a consistent majority on one side of an issue and an overwhelming majority of their own party.

23. And it doesn't say "Complain." |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-16-10 02:00 PM by ClassWarrior
It says "Complain and give up." That's way different. If it just said "Complain," it'd count me right out.
And in the credit-where-due department, thanks for the kudos, but it's not my illustration. I borrowed it from another DUer, tho I don't remember who.
