Fortunately, since the majority rules* (*-except when it comes to HCR), the bill passed 262-153 and now goes to the Senate.

Unfortunately, that means 8 Dems support restraining and secluding kids with behavioral disabilities such as autism. Shame on you, Driehaus (OH01), Kirkpatrick (AZ01), Markey (CO04), Marshall (GA08), Mitchell (AZ05), Perlmutter (Co07), Schrader (OR05), and Taylor (MS04, a well-known DINO)! And why two Dems from both AZ and CO on this list? Are those two states particularly big on restraint and seclusion?

this bill passed the House, but so did HCR with a weak public option and without a cadillac tax. This bill may or may not pass the Senate. Probably nobody is gonna notice either way. Although if there is a story about some kid dying in restrains then the media may pick up on it.
