Many of the people funding the DLC were once Republican backers...
...before the Republicans became a lunatic party.

Look at Wall Street and the people who are working with Obama to undermine the public school system. Look at the insurance companies who gave Obama and other Democrats campaign contributions.

Tim Geithner was a Republican. So was Robert Gates. Look at the MIC, which Obama has not only embraced, but expanded.

The Democratic Party leadership just doesn't get it, or if they do, they just don't care. The more you surround yourself with elite special interests, the more the People will resent you.

1. Lunacy won with Reagan, but began in the 50's.
I was a kid when Ike was President. They wouldn't let him in the party today.

3. The DLC doesn't care as long as the cash flow is positive
and I'm afraid a lot of the Wall Street Democrats are the same.

I know a lot of pubbies who were really hoping Palin and Bachman would manage to herd all the loonies together and have them separate off into the bible/teabagger party, but that doesn't seem to be happening. The right wing lunatics are even less organized than the left is.

4. From, et al. founded the DLC to get Repubicon ideas into the Democratic Party mainstream,
that was it's purpose, to be the corporate face of the Democratic Party.
