6. The Natalie Holloway stories effect .0000001% of the American people |
|
but take up 70% of the news programming time. Stuff that impacts all of us? No time for that.

10. Yes it is..it is very important to those that want to keep America in the dark |

It is put on the tube by a MANIPULATIVE MEDIA to divert public attention from things that really count. Iraq War, corruption, stealing of public assets and infrastructure by the same types that did it in Russia. the list could go on, but the media puts it out there to take time away from really important stories. Imus was another example.

11. A few years back 3 young women disappeared in Woonsocket RI |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-30-07 10:19 PM by Marrah_G
But they weren't middle class house wives or college students, etc etc. My best friend's cousin was one of them. I remember how worried she was when weeks, then months went by with no word. Her cousin had children and was 5 months pregnant. She was a troubled woman though, who often hung out in the seedier part of town. Her father last saw her on the 3rd or 4th of July, 2003 whenever it was that they had the fireworks.
It took them almost a year to solve the crime... though in all that time, no MSM press, no Nancy Grace spasms, no obsessive search for any tiny bit of information about these women. Because they didn't count. They weren't worthy. No one cared really, except some detectives and the missing womens families. I remember how distraught my friend was. She moved to Seattle that summer and had a hard time with leaving while her cousin was missing.
3 young women, cut into little pieces, one of them pregnant, and thrown out in the garbage. I would bet none of you ever heard a word about it.
I feel for Mrs. Holloway, but I can't help but feel a little anger everytime I see a media frenzy over one of these cases. It's just another example of how some people are considered valuable because of thier birth and their appearance, yet others are easily ignored, forgotten.
Her name was Stacey Goulet, she was 25 years old and she was as valuable at Ms. Holloway or Laci Peterson.

13. Thank you for telling us about her. |

How awful. I'm so sorry for your best friend and her family, and all the loved ones of those women.
It really is unfair how a media hue and cry is raised over some missing people and others vanish and no one ever hears anything about them again unless it's their loved ones. And sometimes not even then. And sometimes they don't get any satisfying answers, either. Or justice.

14. They did at least get Justice |

Thanks to some really good police work from a couple Woonsocket PD detectives.
There are many serial killers out there that are still at large and largely unheard of because they target women the world doesn't want to see. Drug addicts, mentally ill, homeless, alcholic, prostitutes, etc.
