Selfish Evil Teabaggers Throw Money at Man With Parkinson's Disease!

Not making this up. Outside of Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy's district office, teabaggers heckled, cursed at, and threw money at a man suffering from Parkinson's disease. This needs to be splattered throughout the media tomorrow. The shear heartlessness of the moment is heartbreaking.

Video:
http://www.dispatch.com/...

The video is not embeddable -- the heckling starts about 50 seconds into it.

H/T Progress Ohio:

Video shot by the Columbus Dispatch from today's Honk and Wave in Support of Health Care at Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy's district office contains a segment wherein the teabaggers mock and scorn an apparent Parkinsen's victim telling him "he's in the wrong end of town to ask for handouts", calling him a communist and throwing money at him to "pay for his health care".

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2010/3/16/846982/-SHOCKING:-Teabaggers-mock-and-scorn-man-wParkinsons!

This needs to go viral. It shows their real souls.

31. Since when has "working hard" been a guarantee against
no health care, no insurance, or bad health? Since NEVER. I just love people like this, hypocritical to the core. 'Cause if something like that happened to them, they'd be the first in line for help and angry if they didn't get it.

Any of those people who have Medicare cards should be forced to turn them in ASAP. If they're so gung-ho against the big, bad, evil gubmint' and about paying for everything themselve, then just fucking let them. They'll find out real quick how much their Medicare helped them.

My stepdad worked hard as a teacher for forty years. He became ill with a major form of dementia in just his late fifties and had to retire early, a few years later. He's now in a nursing home (after they spent most of their assets on treatment and caring for him) and Medicaid takes most of his pension check, which is what mom subsists on, each month for his care. But they do pay for the rest of it, which is several thousand dollars a month. How, exactly, did "working hard" prevent him from getting the disease? How did it prevent him and his family from going broke after a lifetime of financial responsibility? I'm so sick of these hateful fuckers I could just SCREAM.

and pray for what?

How many of these heartless people claim to be patriotic?

These are the 'real' Americans they all claim to be?

Shameful.

7. Not surprising. Conservatives and especially the teabagger types care for no one but themselves.
They are incapable of sympathy and empathy for others. Makes it easier to want the kind of policies that treat people like garbage.

27. Christians are the worst and most selfish people around
Christians traditionally horde their own money, say it is god's will they are rich, and tell you to go to hell if you ask for a handout saying that god wills you to be poor.

today.

They are a danger to themselves and - as the video shows - to others.

They should be locked up, away from the public, until we can figure out an effective way to cure them of their sociopathic, violent, rage-filled behavior.

20. The whole mindset is "Me. What *I* need. Nothing else matters. You can die if it doesn't help ME."
So of course the attitude changes if they become needy.
It is not based on standards or morals. Just what *I* need right now.

21. Ayn Rand would be pleased with them
But what isn't said that if you can't then you can suffer and die on your own, or with friends. Now if some church or individual wants to help you then okay, but if not? Then the funeral dirge will be our new corporate national health anthem. So far the 5 major health industry leaders have a monopoly (oligopoly) which is why they are mostly regional in where they are situated in this country. I say let us put them back under anti-monopoly statues and rigid controls. Better yet make them all non-profits like in Japan and England so that they can still service people without the cutting off of dire medical aid and still make a reasonable profit. Not the unreasonable ones they have now.

"Life before Profit" is a good slogan. Not the present one of "Profit before Life." It would look good on signs.

Honestly, nothing in this video really surprises me all that much. It's gotten to the point where I am much more shocked when I see a thoughtful and reasonable conservative than I am when I see one spewing filthy and hateful rhetoric.

In Imperial America, no one can hear you scream (unless you are screaming what the BushoCorporate Aristocracy wants you to, in which case it amplifies and turns the volume up to "11")

32. Why don't they just say out loud what they REALLY want...
To completely put to an end to any and all "entitlements".

If doing so causes many people in this country, including those of our troops that they so voiciferously support, have to suffer and ultimately die as a result, so be it, as it is only what they want that really matters.

RWers are of course, all for our government spending as much money as needed on defense and the military, which gives them the impetus to single out entitlement spending as being very detrimental to our national defense, as well as the war against terrorism.

When their RW leadership talks about shrinking the size of our government, entitlements are what they really want shrunk, which will make it much easier to ultimately eliminate them.

And on a side note, could those teabaggers quit using the federally funded roads and more than likely tax funded sidewalks they like to trod upon while unleashing their anti-government sh**? And how about this, they can all enter into a drawing to win a one way trip to Somalia or some other place that has NO government to speak of. And then make them all winners. The losers.
