1. Poor puppy, so kind and resilient so much love that vid makes me a little weepy...
Especially after losing Tim recently. But Millie came home with us from a high kill shelter she likes it here better http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/15670305?recno=4

5. I cried like a little girl. It makes me think of all the Edies who don't get saved.
Who die in extreme terror like Edie was suffering.

Anyone who can watch that video and still say that animals do not experience emotions (good and bad) has no heart or soul.

9. Thanks. It makes me even more proud of my wife who volunteers at the local (no-kill) shelter.
She "socializes" cats to make them more attractive for adoption.

14. My neighbor's dog is named "ToGo" because that was the sign
on the cage she found him in. She said she pronounced the word like the name of the fast food place the shelter volunteer corrected her saying " No, it's To Go, as in she's next."

ToGo has been my neighbor for the past 8 years. No one is sure how old she is. At first she was shell shocked but after a couple of months she became a playful and friendly dog.
