PSA: When attending a rally Do Not Lock Your Knees |
|
:)
I guess the Navy taught me that one.
It seems a lot of folks fall out during long periods of standing.
Not locking their knees might enable more rally-goers to see the whole event.

1. Very true. My BIL & my son were both in the military & were taught that. |
|
Funny though, the only person I ever saw fall down was my nephew (that military guy's son) who just collapsed during Easter Morning Mass. He was only abour 16 yo, and recovered in just a few minutes.

2. I won't stand that long. |
|
If I have to be out there like that, I bring my folding camp chair.

3. What does locking or not locking your knees do? |
|
What about shifting weight from foot to foot? I never thought about this before.

fall over like a tree.
As a veteran marching band geek, I've seen it happen many times. :silly:
Bend your knees slightly when you stand!

6. This also applies during long stretches of lovemaking. Do NOT lock the knees. |
|

8. Yep. One time I did pass out during a formation because I was dehydrated from stomach flu. |
|
After being taken to the ER and getting two IV bags I returned to post only to have people asking me why I locked my knees. Harrumph! I did NOT lock my knees, I let them know, indignantly.
