Virginia AG To Sue Feds Over Health Care Reform

The attorney general of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli, will file a lawsuit against the federal government should health care reform legislation be signed into law, his spokesman confirms to TPMDC.

The spokesman did not give details on what grounds Cuccinelli plans to challenge the law.

Last week, the Virginia state legislature passed a bill that declares residents exempt from any federal mandates requiring citizens to purchase health insurance. Similar legislation is pending, at various levels of seriousness, in some 34 other states.

What is really scary about this guy is that he never practiced law a day in his life. He got his law degree but never used it. now he is the top law enforcement officer in the Commonwealth and he has made no bones about his desire to stay in that postion for a long time. he panders to the lowest common demominator on the right. The mouth breathers in Southwest Virginia. This is what happens when you don't pay enough attention to the statewide candidates that you let represent the Democaratic Party. Sometimes I am ashamed to be from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
