Damn, they passed the jobs bill
We're screwed now! People are gonna get jobs and buy stuff, and the next thing you know, the economy is gonna surge. And, you know what that means....more money to deal with. Don't we already have enough money to deal with? I mean...dayum!

Yes, this is sarcasm for those sarcasmically challenged!

20 billion for roads = good.
18 billion in tax cuts = not good.
The 'good' out weighs the 'not good'.

10. Not so bad...
This one is pretty good all around if you look at how they are applying the cuts. Giving employers exemption from social security taxes if they hire a previously unemployed person is a good incentive for people to hire....and lord knows we need em to hire! IF we can just get folks back to work, the economy will take care of itself. I'm 55 and I've seen several of these recessions. Others affected me more because I was unemployed at those times. But, they all seem to let go eventually and things get better.

11. If anything, we need to raise taxes.
Especially on the wealthy. Tax cuts have destroyed this county. Tax cuts are more RW crap. The 20 billion does some good, but probably not as much as you think. Roads are crazy expensive.

12. I agree about raising taxes on rich
Class warfare? Not hardly. I am a millionaire. I know all to well how easy it is to avoid paying taxes with tax loopholes. You hand them off to your CPA, and they do their magic. Do I complain because he saves me money? No. Mainly because I can't do them myself, or even understand half the stuff he is doing. soooo..... I make the money, he does the books.

I live with it by donating time and money to my favorite charities. That way I know I am helping those who need help, which in my case, are under-priviledged children and those in shelters, by organizing fund-raisers and clothes donations. We set up a room in our local school where donated clothes and linens are stored. Students and parents can come by after hours (to avoid embarassment) and take what they need, free of charge. We have many students who get their nutritional needs met at school only, so we send them home every week-end with a backpack full of food so they will eat. It helps.....a lot! It just takes one single mom coming up to you crying, thanking you for what you do.
If that doesn't tug at your heart, nothing will.
