Geitner sounded like a politician trying to cover his ass. I wanted Rachel to keep the pressure on him by saying: "It is one thing to say 'we've made mistakes' or 'we should have been paying more attention'. It is something else entirely to say that the people who caused this to happen, and who caused people to lose their life savings and their retirements, were rewarded handsomely, are still being rewarded, were never held accountable, and will do it again if given a chance. There are still no regulations to reign in the reckless, risky bets being made."
