"Obsession Accomplished"

Four years, 3,400 invisible flag draped coffins, 25,000 permanently crippled G.I.'s, half a million dead Iraqis, and one hanged dictator later, and the obsession is accomplished.

The obsession to conquer the middle east, then Earth has been around since the reagan years, the obsessions of the neo cons under the two president bush's has become ever increasing.

After nine eleven the obsession took on a whole new flavor, and the obsessive war kicked into high gear, and the ridiculous 'mission accomplished' banner has been laughed at and scorned but, in reality, the mission really WAS accomplished. The mission is going swimmingly, no matter what the detractors say.

The obsession IS the mission, the mission IS the obsession, and it HAS been accomplished, to a tee. NO mistakes were made. NO exit plan was conceived. NO timetables were considered. The neo cons are the ultimate obsessive compulsives and no one will get in their way, not you, not me, not nobody, not no how.

The obsessives hit an 8 year snag when Clinton took the helm, so they obsessed about making him out to be a demon and a sex maniac. Then they obsessed about impeaching him and succeeded. Then the obsession became placing the disgraced bush 1's idiot son in the highest office, and that too succeeded. Then back to the original obsession.

Their obsessive behavior led us to nine eleven, wmd's, shock and awe, toppling statues, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, the green zone, the gallows for Saddam, with obsessive propaganda blaring as the background music of our lives.

Many will say that bush set himself up for eternal embarrassment when he landed on the aircraft carrier and made a victory speech with the infamous 'mission accomplished' banner in the background, but in reality, the obsessive mission WAS accomplished, and is only just beginning.

America is obsessed with being numero uno, obsessed with gadgets, movies, reality shows, guns, porn, luxury, fast cars, fast food, and our so called leaders reflect our obsessions.
