About ABC and the "Hooker's List". . . . .

There is something very odd about the whole "disclosure" thing..

She claims that her girls were not supplying sex.... She gave her list to ABC so they could help her identify possible witnesses for her defense.... and here's an exchange between
Ross of ABC (who apparently GOT the list awhile ago) and CNN's Kurtz:

" KURTZ: Now on Friday night's "World News," you did not report this. You put it on your blog, the blotter, about 9:00 that night. Is that because you didn't know or decided not to go with it for television?

ROSS: I was off on Friday, actually attending my son's high school debate tournament and the State Department release came out around 5:00 Friday afternoon. I just didn't know about it until about 8:00 at night and about an hour later we put it on abcnews.com.

KURTZ: Here I thought there was some elaborate conspiratorial reason and it was your son's debate tournament. All right. This list of thousands of names, got all these phone records, just as a practical matter, is it difficult to find out who these phone records belong to?

ROSS: It takes some work. We've been working on it, our investigative team for the last month, month and a half, going through them all and I think we have a pretty good idea now of who is on the list.

Now let's see. . ABC has had this list for "a month, a month and a half" They haven't decided how many or which of the names to release ("On 20/20 this Friday and other ABC outlets").

Isn't ABC's reputation for even handed coverage a little, um, suspect? I'm thinking specifically of that "9/11 . .It's all Clinton's fault" mockumentary that they broadcast after giving the disclaimer that it wasn't necessarily true or anything.. just a dramatization of what might have happened. .

We all know there are both Repug & Democratic names on that list... How will ABC choose what to release, and when?

Of all the networks, it's a major propaganda outlet. This is going to be the jawbone the administration uses to keep people in line. Vote the wrong way and you're history, this way, they can get rid of some deadwood as a warning to others.

Somehow, I get the feeling this is part of the Abramoff, Foggo, Wilkes nexus.

They are said to have THOUSANDS of names.

It's maybe a little early in the game to dismiss my question, isn't it?

7. Isn't Ross the reporter that outed Mark Foley's predilection for pages?

I may not trust ABC, but he's earned a level of credibility for sticking w/the Foley mess before the elections. I think the publicity of that piece of GOP nastiness helped in no small way to defeat the repubs. IIRC, he had that 'list' (names, emails, etc) for some time as well - to vet, verify, investigate, etc so that it would hold up to publication? (Dunno for sure @ that part, though!)

Her claims? Pure defense w/perhaps of measure of retribution for the 'serviced' not coming to her aid?

ABC? That's easy ... money! They'll go w/whatever makes them the biggest payday.

10. the Madam's lawyer has disclosed that Repug Dick Morris was a client

I heard on teevee that she gave ABC a (partial)list of SOME selected clientele, and not the entire she-bang. Which means she (through her lawyer) is free to disclose identities in a drip, drip fashion. I kind of like that scenario. So far she's dropped the dime on at least 2 prominent Repugs. Methinks she's a Dem?

Remember, she gave the names to ABC; she may have "selected" thoses from a particular ideological or political persuasion. I haven't heard of a Dem's name surfacing, have you?

Remember cell number change quite frequently now, more stable back in the old days(96).

But many of those are long gone. This sounds like the old tear a hundred in half game. She is a very savvy lady.
